We ordered the Herder Burger Jack's way and the regular way. Both were fabulous. The lamb burgers were very thick and when you add toppings, a thick slice of tomato, lettuce, pickles, and red onion, it was a challenge to get it all in my mouth. The fires and sweet potato fries were delicious. It's a local place, not touristy, but welcoming to people passing through. They have a lot of beers on tap and an extensive liquor cabinet. Friendly and attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Cool playlist from the late 70's, early 80's.

Cool bar to drop into on a Tuesday driving thru! Bars was clean, they cook right there in the bar open kitchen. Staff was great, pleasant to talk with and hear about the area. Burgers were good! They say best in town, but we only ate one burger in town so I'd have to agree.

Not handicapped accessible but bacon burger was great. And lamb burger was great too. Keaton was our waitress and seemed to be everywhere at once. If loud music and a dark bar is your thing you’d love this!

WOW, what a fantastic restaurant to find on a road trip. They were the BEST BURGERS we have had in years. They were a healthy burger cooked to profection. They were the best fries we've ever had. My wife orders, no bun and that BURGER stood up to being served by itself. Thank you staff for putting this restaurant on the map. Iowa Travellers

We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's not a spacious place so get there before rush hour! Haha. It has that tavern, type atmosphere, friendly staff (maybe a bit under-staffed) and excellent food! Some of the best French fries that I have ever had.

Was staying across the street for the night and stopped in for dinner. Such a wonderful place and it was packed. Had a couple drinks and a burger while I read my book at the bar. Servers were quite friendly and I enjoyed listening to the two guys that were making the burgers. Servers knew quite a bit of the people which led to a comfortable atmosphere.

Great food, service, and there were some slots in the back where my sister in law doubled her $60 in 20 minutes. It was a great time.
